"Real or Not Real? How Propaganda, Media Manipulation, and 'Reality TV' Impact Our Thinking" Panel Discussion

Exhibit open at 5:00 / program 7:00-8:00 p.m.

The worldwide, cultural phenomenon of The Hunger Games explores chilling questions: how can the media be used as a tool for social control? How do citizens discern what is “real” in the world of reality TV? What effect does exposure to violence and suffering have on the thoughts, emotions, and behavior of our citizens – including our children. Joining us on our panel will be Stephen George from Louisville Public Media, James Miller from duPont Manual High School, Rachel Platt from WHAS 11, and Robert Detmering from the University of Louisville. Frazier Director of Marketing, Andy Treinen will lead a debate and engage with the audience as our panelists tackle these timely questions. Buy tickets and RSVP HERE
